I am excited about the leadership qualities that Pres. Obama will display in the next year.
I think Obama is going to help build a stronger America. I'm excited to see how the future is going to turn out and hopefully it's better then the present (economy wise).

The economy can't get worse. That is an ignorant statement. The economy can get much worse. I believe that we are still the strongest and richest country in the world. Even though we are in the midst of a "housing crisis" nothing has fallen through yet. If people lose confidence, such as the late twenties, the outcome could be horrendous. Banks aren't foreclosing yet.

Also, I think it's amazing that we have an African American President. If you think about the way our country was about 50 years ago and how far we've come with civil rights and eqaulity. If anyone watched the night of the election and seeing all the African American's faces when they found out that Obama won.... it was indescribable. Also, if you increase taxes on those that have money, guess what? They're expenses go up, so therefore, the cost of their products will go up. It all trickles down. We end up paying more anyway, not just for our taxes, but now the upper class's too.

I think this could be great for Iowa because we have great wind resources and Biofuel as well. If we are forward looking as a state this could be a great opportunity to be a nation and world leader on energy. With federal backing and local initiative we could generate Billions of dollars and Thousands of Jobs for our state. We might also help stem global warming as a result. This could have happened with McCain as well but Obama made this one of his commitment. We need to strike while the iron is hot.

Alternative Fuel is a joke. Humans don't cause Global warming. Oil reservoirs reappear after being emptied in about two years. Its a natural cycle. Oil is a bi-product of burning magma. There will be not shortage of it ever. We should be drilling in our own land for the sake of being independent from other countries who just want our money. (I'll bet noone can dissaggree without using personal attacks and actuallly using facts)
